Electrical Mechanical Solutions (EMS) is currently seeking an Operations Technician to join our team based out of Broussard, LA. This position helps to anchor the overall function of the Operations department through the execution of a variety of administrative and clerical functions/tasks both individually, as well as collectively, in coordination with their supervisor and the efforts and requirements of the Company’s other Operations personnel, department heads and service personnel. In this role the Operations Technician also serves as the face of the Company, setting the tone for the office as a whole when interacting with coworkers, Customers and visitors alike.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Completion of recurring tasks to which assigned in accordance with deadlines and requirements
  • Providing support to the Company’s various Operations departments (accounting, human resources, etc.)
  • Assist other Operations staff and department heads with tasks as requested
  • Receiving and coordinating responses to Customer, employee and vendor inquiries and requests as required
  • Welcoming guests and visitors to the office and directing them to the appropriate company employee
  • Managing a multi-line phone system and directing callers to the appropriate departments and/or employees
  • Performing office clerical/administrative tasks when assigned (e.g. filing, faxing, scanning, emailing, etc.)
  • Processing of incoming and outgoing mail

Requirements

  • At least 1+ year’s experience as an Administrative Assistant and/or Front Office Receptionist
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record
  • Proficient with PC, email, and Microsoft Office product (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) usage
  • Previous experience with Purchasing
